The sixth part of our trip took us to Miyazaki city. Most of the things we wanted to experience in Miyazaki prefecture needed a car to get to but for our first taste of the area, we still made the most of it. We had some amazing food, stayed in a lovely hotel, went to the prefectural art gallery and also walked around a nice park. We almost got lost in the park honestly, very nearly missing our shinkansen, but we made with only the memory and a bit of sunburn on Sam’s shoulders as evidence of what had happened.
I’m not going to bore most of you with details of the trains we rode on our trip, but I have to at least mention the limited express train from Beppu to Miyazaki, down the coast and in one of the smoothest trains I’ve ever had the fortune to be on. If you’re into that sort of thing and want my advice, I highly recommend the 787 over the Sonic. Trust me on that one and message me if you want more details so I don’t have to alienate half my readers ha.
